The program is tiny... Every once in a while something that is free in life is really worth sharing, and I want to share this with you all. As we all know our right to privacy does battle with millions of corporations trying to get a fix on us every time we hit that little icon that puts us on the net. Here is a very non-intrusive little program, 3.03 mb to be exact, that doesn't even leave an icon on your desk top, it's that non-aggresive, on your pc. But when you get on the net, that little program comes alive! You will see a little green, black, and red icon sitting on the comand bar line up in the top right of your screen. and inside the circle you will see numbers starting to accumulate, if you click on the icon it drops down a visual of what all those accumulating numbers are and it is the different types of trackers it is blocking. That's right!, if you are a member of a social network like Facebook and Google Chrome, you can be assured that no trackers are going to be able to track you! it's to keep people/business's from tracking you when you go online, it's pretty cool, and when I go to a site I can see how many "hits" my poor ip takes, sometimes it's only two and sometimes it's 8 or ten, and what is really amazing is that on some sites every time you go from one page to the next, you get more trackers trying to track you...I am loving the fact that I am at least guarding against some cookie makers!! And my Yahoo mail and Yuku now are faster when I come in. (Do'n the happy dance). The Link for Do Not Track: |
