Slat Tutorial

Supplies needed

Pattern
Slat Image
Tube of choice
Font of Choice

Open your supplies in PSP and minimise

Open a new image 500 x 500

floodfill with white

Add a new layer

On your materials pallette click into the background colour and choose the pattern tab
from the dropdown menu choose the image pattern02 and floodfill your new layer

Maximise your slat image and copy

on your canvas add a new layer.... selections - select all

Paste - Paste into selection (Do not deselect)

This will make the slat image fill the screen

Now go to selections Float.... Selections defloat

This puts your marching ants around the slats

Selections Invert

Now click on the pattern layer in your layers pallette to make it active

Press delete on the keyboard

Deselect

Back to your slat layer and delete layer

On your pattern layer (now in the slat shape) Resize by 80%

Duplicate the pattern layer

On the bottom pattern layer Adjust blur - guassion blur 15

Click on the top layer and paste your tube as a new layer... place to the left

Add your copyright details

Now to add your name...........

I also added a Text saying on a circle

To do this draw a circle with your preset shape tool

Go to text tool and hover over the circle until you get (A) showing and click on circle

Type your text and adjust with spacebar
When happy with the text on your vector layer in the layer pallette
click on the little + sign and X out the eye on the shape layer

Add drop shadow to your tube and text

Save as a jpeg and show off your results
