MA Valentine tut

Supplies needed:  Marilyn Allens Red Perfotated Valentine Template HERE
Tubes of your choice from Marilyn and/or Bobbie

Open a new canvas 500 wide by 250 deep
Floodfill with white

Open the Red Perforated squares Template
and with your selection tool set to rectangle/addshift
select around the top middle tag template.
Edit copy and paste as a new layer on your canvas

 

Image Rotate... free rotate 90 degrees (any direction)
Make sure all layers is not checked

Now back to the Red Perforated squares Template
Deselect the red tag and now select the White tag
Just below the red one and copy and paste as a new layer on your canvas

Image Rotate... free rotate 90 degrees (any direction)

If you have not moved any of the layers they should be lined up
The white rectangle will be hiding the red layer

Make sure that the white rectangle is the active layer
Image resize 85%




Now right click on the layer pallette and go to merge.. merge down

Duplicate this merged layer twice so that you have three rectangles
Arrange them on your canvas side by side as even as you can
See my finished tag for reference

When you have the three layers in the right places.. close off the background white layer
Merge visible... so that all three rectangles are now one layer

Now make the background layer the active layer and add a new layer
With your rectangle selection tool draw around the three frames

 

Now go to Selections - Feather...........

When the little box come up put 25 in the size

Now floodfill this new layer inside the selection with the red of the rectangles

Deselect...  lower the opacity of the layer a little - I used 60Now you can add a texture filter to this layer if you wish

I used Penta Colour Dot set to 4

Now add your little elements... I used the gold ones from the Red Perforated squares Template

Plus I used some pink bows from the MA tube Angel.... HERE

Add any tubes that you like in the three white squares

Add text to your choice

Make sure to add your copyright info and tagger name if you like to
